How do I bulk add students to groups in Moodle?

If you have a large number of students and you wish to add them to groups in your Moodle course, please contact Digital Services with the following information:

  1. The student number (username).
  2. The short name of your Moodle course (course1).
  3. The name of each group that each student should be added to (group1).
  4. Use the spreadsheet template attached to this article (see below) and add the above information to a separate row for each student.
  5. Send the spreadsheet to digitalservices@brookes.ac.uk.
