How do I find the short name of my Moodle course?

The course short name is a unique identifier for each module that appears in Moodle. If you are asked for your course’s short name for troubleshooting:

  1. Go to your course in Moodle.
  2. Click on Settings in the contextual navigation located below the course title.
  3. The course short name appears in the General section on that screen as shown below:
