Book a training session

For training opportunities in your Faculty, please contact your Digital Media and e-learning Developer.

Digital Services provides support for Digital Education at Brookes, including developing the Brookes Virtual Learning Environment and assisting academic staff in integrating technology enhanced learning into their learning, teaching and assessment practice. 

We are the first point of contact for Directorates and can provide centralised support to all Brookes staff with digital tools such as Moodle, Feedback Studio by Turnitin, Zoom, the Panopto Video Library, and Alternative Formats Ally.

• Drop-in sessions (slots available on request, or on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons).
• Induction training sessions for Moodle, Panopto, Digital Accessibility and Zoom (sessions are at the beginning of each term for new starters and on request a refresher for current staff).
• Accessibility Amnesty Sessions (slots available Monday and Thursday 1-2) are one-to-one support sessions with digital accessibility including advice on creating documents, presentations, Moodle courses, videos, multimedia, emails and more.
• Bespoke group sessions on any Digital Education subject, tool, or resource creation (available upon request).

Book a drop-in session

We manage all of our bookings with the Scheduler activity in Moodle. To book your place:

1. Go to our form in Moodle.
2. Log in with your p number and Brookes password (if you are not already logged in).
3. Click Enrol me.
4. Scroll down to the section Drop-in Sessions for all staff (Booking Required)
5. Select the link for the current year (link in pink).
6. Click Book slot (on the right) to book the respective 30-minute slot (on the left). Book as many slots as you need.

Book Moodle induction training

We manage all of our bookings with the Scheduler activity in Moodle. To book your place:

1. Go to our form in Moodle.
2. Log in with your p number and Brookes password (if you are not already logged in).
3. Click Enrol me.
4. Scroll down to the section Induction Sessions: Introduction to Moodle, Zoom and Panopto
5. Select the link for correct induction session (link in pink).
6. Click Book slot (on the right) to book the respective 60-minute slot (on the left). Book as many slots as you need.

Book Accessibility Amnesty sessions

We manage all of our bookings with the Scheduler activity in Moodle. To book your place:

1. Go to our form in Moodle.
2. Log in with your p number and Brookes password (if you are not already logged in).
3. Click Enrol me.
4. Scroll down to the section Accessibility Amnesty Sessions
5. Select the link for the session (link in pink).
6. Click Book slot (on the right) to book the respective 60-minute slot (on the left). Book as many slots as you need.

Request group training

Bespoke group sessions can be adapted to suit participants at any experience level, and can cover most aspects of our supported tools. If you have a team or two or more colleagues who would like to be trained as a group, please contact us and let us know your requirements.
