When are modules created in Moodle?

Courses from the SRS

Courses from our Student Record System are created 6 months in advance (before the start date) to give sufficient time for preparation, but also to avoid having too many modules in the system too far in advance. They should appear in your Dashboard, but hidden from students. Exception are modules for placements, dissertations, independent study which are created 18 months prior to the course start date.

Courses outside the SRS

If you need a separate course in Moodle which doesn’t correspond to a module in the Student Record System (SRS), you can request one by contacting your faculty’s learning technologist and include the name of the course and the staff who need access.
