What can I do if my students haven’t received a digital receipt for their Turnitin submission via email?

Once students have submitted an assignment in Turnitin, they should receive a copy of their submission receipt to their student email account within a couple of minutes.

If they email you to report that they haven’t received a digital receipt when they submitted their assignment:

  1. Ask them to check their Junk/Spam folders.
  2. Ask them to go the Turnitin assignment in Moodle and click ‘View Digital Receipt’ next to the submission title.
  3. Go to the Turnitin assignment in Moodle and click on the title of the submission. When the submission open in Feedback Studio, click Download in the bottom right and select Digital Receipt. This will download a PDF version of the receipt to your computer.

This can work as proof that your students have actually made a submission.
