Note: Don’t use the Assessor Allocation feature within Coursework. It is disabled by default and must remain so, as it is unstable and should not be used.
You can allocate markers to different students using Groups:
- Create a group for each marker and then add students to those marker groups.
or - Make use of the existing groups that have been created to support Module Attendance, e.g. (DO NOT EDIT) ANML6004 (202409:1) – S1 – Set1
Add marking groups to grouping
For whichever method you choose, you will need to add the groups into a predefined grouping (Coursework Activity Marking Groups):
- In your Moodle course, click on Participants at the top.
- Click the Enrolled users dropdown menu.
- Click Groupings.
- Find the grouping ‘Coursework Activity Marking Groups‘in the list.
- On the right-hand side, under the ‘Edit‘ column, click the circular person icon.
- In the next screen you will see your marking groups on the right-hand box.
- Select the ones that are relevant to marking (i.e. not the ones that might be for group submission).
- Once you have selected the sets you need, click Add in the middle.
- The groups will appear on the left-hand box.
Add marking grouping to Coursework
Now, we will need to link the Coursework activity that we want to allocate different markers for, to the grouping:
- Click the Coursework activity you wish to allocate markers for.
- Click Settings.
- Scroll down to Common module settings.
- Under ‘Group mode’ select Separate groups.
- Under ‘Grouping; select the grouping you wish to use (eg. Coursework Activity Marking Groups).
- Click Save and return to course.
