This guidance applies to: Programme Leads, Module Leaders, Co-teachers.
It’s good practice to group all weekly lecture videos together in a YouTube playlist and you can then either embed the videos owhich can be embedded in Moodle.
You can add your videos to a playlist either while the video is being uploaded or at a later date, after you have uploaded all your lecture videos.
During upload
After you drop your video file into the upload area:
- In the Details screen, scroll down to Playlist.
- Click Select.
- If the playlist you want appears in the list:
- Check the box next to it to add it to the playlist
- Click Done.
- If the playlist you want doesn’t appear in the list
- Click New playlist.
- Give the playlist a title, e.g. ANML7006 video lectures.
- Choose Unlisted under Visibility.
- Click Create.
- Check the box next to the playlist you just created.
- Click Done.
After upload
- Go to YouTube Studio.
- Click Playlists from the left-hand sidebar.
- Click New playlist.
- Give the playlist a title, e.g. ANML7006 video lectures.
- Click Public and choose Unlisted.
- Click Create.
- Click the three dots below the playlist title and choose Add videos.
- Click Your YouTube videos.
- Select the videos you want from the list.
- Click Add videos.
