To add headings and subheadings to your Moodle course, you should use the Label resource. The Label resource serves as a spacer that displays its content directly onto a Moodle course page. Use a Label to add text, images, multimedia, and more between other resources.
First, add a Label resource.
- In your course homepage, turn editing on.
- Go to a section in your course and click Add an activity or resource.
- Choose Label and click Add.
- Use Label text to add a heading.
- Click the down arrow next to the A icon to choose the heading style for your text. A common section is Lectures, select Heading (medium) and ‘Lectures: Slides and Resources’.
- Once done, click Save and return to course.
Second, organise your activities and resources.
- In your course homepage, turn editing on.
- Add activities and resources, such as a File.
- Use the four way arrow icon to the left of the activity or resource to move it.
- To better organise files, indent them so that there is a clear outline and structure. Click Edit to the right of activity or resource.
- Then click Move right to indent.
- Once done, click anywhere on the page to save.
