No, Coursework activities do not send out automatic reminders to students before the deadline.
However, Module Leaders can manually trigger email reminders to students who haven’t submitted by their deadline if they wish. In most cases, the student deadline is the ‘Deadline for submissions’ setting in the Coursework activity, except where the student has an extension (mitigation).
To alert students that they haven’t submitted any work click the Send Non-Submission Email button at the bottom of the assessment dropbox.
The email currently states the following information for students:
According to our records you have not submitted coursework for the following unit. This work will therefore be recorded as a non-submission.
Unit: [Your Module name]
Unit Number: [Your Unit number]
Coursework Description: Your coursework submission
Submission Deadline: [The date the assignment is due for that student]
