As of Moodle 4, ‘Turn editing on’ has been renamed to Edit mode and allows you to put your course in edit mode, so you can add and update activities, add content and add/edit/rearrange blocks.
The toggle to switch Edit mode on or off appears at the top right of your course.
- If the icon is grey and the ‘toggle’ is in the left of the container Edit mode is disabled (turned off).
- If the icon is pink and the ‘toggle’ is in the right of its container, Edit mode is enabled (turned on).
