How do I set up an EndNote Online (web) account?

EndNote Web allows you to create a personal ‘library’ of references which you can access from wherever you are. It is a free service, you just need to create an account and then activate ‘roaming access’.

  1. Go to EndNote Web
  2. On the Thomson Reuters EndNote home page, click on the ‘Sign up’ below the login boxes and enter your email address to start the registration process
  3. You’ll be prompted to choose a password for your EndNote Web account
  4. Your EndNote login details will be the email address and password you set during this registration process
Note

If have already set up a personal account with Web of Science, then an EndNote Web account will also have been created for you automatically. Your login details will be the same for both accounts – your email address and a chosen password.

EndNote Web is freely available, but Brookes users can get an enhanced version which includes the Brookes Harvard referencing style and many others. To access the enhanced version you need to check our guide to Using the Brookes Harvard referencing style with EndNote Web (“roaming access”)
